Handprint golfer father’s day card

It’s almost father’s day and what better way to show love than by creating a handmade card! Not only is it thoughtful, it’s also a keepsake craft! What makes it more fun is the added 3D texture to it. The materials needed are also very simple. So what are we waiting for? Let’s get started!

The materials required are as followed:

  1. Foam Balls
  2. Green and light blue stock paper
  3. Golf tee
  4. Hot glue/tape

You can buy all these materials at the dollar store! Regarding the colours of the paper, you don’t have to follow it to the tee (pun intended). You can choose whichever colour you like that represents dad the most! However, we do recommend using a thicker paper to provide a stronger hold since some materials that we will be using are a little heavier than card stock papers.

Start by folding the card stock paper in half. Then take a small Styrofoam ball and cut in half. You can paint the golf ball and add some creative design if you like!

Using another coloured card stock paper, trace your little ones hand print three times and cut them out! Again, feel free to draw or write anything on those cute little handprints.

Tape or hot glue a golf tee to the card. Then, glue the half-cut Styrofoam ball above the tee. We suggest using hot glue to ensure it stays on. To finalize the appearance of the card, tape/glue the handprints over the tee!

Let it dry if you used hot glue. Finish off the card with a heartfelt message inside the card!

We hope you enjoy making this DIY handmade card with your kids for Father’s Day. This card can also inspire you by making a hockey, soccer, or basketball card if the dad isn’t a golfer! Have a creative time!
